The New Tulum Airport

Getting to Tulum just got a whole lot easier and more exciting with the opening of the brand-new Felipe Carrillo Puerto International Airport, commonly known as the Tulum Airport.

The Tulum skies are buzzing with major airlines setting their routes straight to this dreamy destination. Here’s the scoop in Jan 2024:

Aeromexico is soaring high with direct flights from Mexico City. Twice a day, every day!

Delta Airlines has direct flights from Atlanta with Tulum.

Spirit Airlines brings the sunshine from Fort Lauderdale and Orlando.

American Airlines links up Dallas, Fort Worth, Charlotte, and Miami directly to Tulum.

United Airlines has routes from New York, Houston, Chicago, and a special seasonal flight from Los Angeles.

Your Ride from the Airport to Aldea Zama: Smooth and Easy!

The main question is: How long does it take me from the Tulum airport to Aldea Zama. Well, for us it was exactly 42 mins from the airport to Aldea Zama, of course it depends on the traffic and the driver but for us it was a better ride than from the Cancun airport.

Also, you’ve got a bunch of options to whisk you away to Aldea Zama. Let’s break it down:

ADO Bus: If you’re going budget-friendly, hop on the ADO bus. It’s just $10 USD, and you can book your ticket through their app. Keep in mind, you will need to get a $20-$30 USD taxi from the bus station to your hotel/Airbnb.

Private Car Transfers: Perfect for couples or duos, with varied rates depending on where in Riviera Maya you’re headed. We like using Tulum Transport Company , but there are many other options to choose from.

Rental Cars: Love to explore at your own pace? Car rental companies are right there at the airport, with daily rates starting from about $60 USD.
